Careful with the ground for your power circuits and the ground for logic and sensors. Keep them separate on your breadboards and share them with one wire directly at the power supply.

Time spent on state diagrams and pseudocode is not wasted. It is an investment that pays dividends when you go to write your actual code. It will dramatically reduce debugging time.

Meet often with your team to discuss tasks and do a good job at delegating tasks so everyone can work efficiently on their own.

Work in the PRL. There is plenty of space and materials to fabricate your parts and assemble your project.

Get your part orders in early. Pay attention to shipping and when your parts will actually arrive. Plan accordingly if you choose to pay less for slower shipping.

Do the bare minimum very well.
